Finishing up!

These are pictures of the inside. The first 2 are of the bathrooms. They have hung towel racks, tp holders, mirrors, lights and put in the shower door (picture 2) in our bathroom and done the same in the kids bathroom (picture 1). We absolutely hate the lights above the mirror, but we are just going to live with them for the time being. We have plenty of time to change them out, a little at a time. They have begun to lay the hardwood floors in the dining room (picture 3), living room and hallway. The counter tops and kitchen cabinets are in (picture 4/5). We are hoping to be in by Thanksgiving or the day after!!! They don't have much more to do, however we have already noticed some things that need fixed before we sign the contract. All of the items we want fixed will be addressed at our final walk through with the contractor. We hope that will be later this week! Keep your fingers crossed for us, we have to be out of the house we are renting on the 30. So, things need to move quickly

The Inside

It has been a while since there were visible changes in the building process. Now, all drywall is done, they spackled and sanded. The upstairs is taped and ready to be painted. Eric went there today and said that there were cabinets in the kitchen and master bath. Things are coming along. We are to be in within the next 4 weeks. There is still a lot to be done. We will see!!!!

Week 6

All of the brick is done on the front of our house. We also took a picture of the house from the back. We upgraded to a larger deck. We are looking forward to having LOTS of cook outs!

Week 5

The house has a brick front. They have started on the bricking. The sides and back will be siding. They are also working on electrical inside. Things are really coming along. We can't get them to pinpoint a date for completion. We are a little frustrated since we can't lock in on an intrest rate. We hope they figure it out soon!

Week 4

The windows have been added. It is too bad that blinds don't come with them!

Week 3

The second floor is framed and the roof has been added!

Week 2

The first floor is framed out. It is amazing how fast they are working on it! The front porch is done, too!

Week 1

The footer for the house has been poured.

They have started on our house on Oakmont Lane. They have poured the footer.

Lot 10

This is the lot, lot 10, where our house is being built! It is not a huge lot, but perfect for NC heat! Most days it is too hot to go outside! We have a tent that we will put up in the yard, and more than likely cover most of it!!! Can't wait to watch the house go up!
We chose this lot in March. They did not brake ground until August....

New House

Watch our new house grow!!!
